Good Karma

ServerGrove believes in corporate responsibility and has been built from start on solid business ethics that is at the core of every decision we make. We are an experiment in active philanthropy. But lets face it, we don't only do good things because it is the right thing to do, we do it because it makes us feel good about working at a great company. All our projects engage ServerGrove's entire family of people, partners and technologies. In the end, by linking our jobs and products to philanthropy we all help make the world a better place.

Trees for the Future

We plant a tree a month for each hosting account we host
to help balance the impact of our operations .

Over 3,900 trees planted to date.

ServerGrove has partnered with Trees For the Future to plant a tree every month for every one of our hosting accounts. This is a way share the responsibility for our servers' carbon footprint. That's 12 trees a year for every account we have.

Trees for the Future (TREES) is a grassroots action program assisting people living on the world's most degraded lands to improve their living standards through environmentally sound development projects.

They provide technical knowledge on agroforestry, reforestation and sustainable development, along with planting materials to help communities return their degraded lands back to sustainable production. Through their network of technicians, volunteers, and community leaders worldwide, their program reaches remote areas and shares with local people the knowledge and skills necessary to rehabilitate their environment.

TREES has assisted more than 300,000 families, in nearly 12,000 communities of Asia, Africa and the Americas, to plant over 60 million trees. This represents a land area of about 87,000 acres of degraded land restored to sustainable high productivity. Additionally, each year, these trees remove more than 1.5 million tons of carbon dioxide—the major greenhouse gas causing global climate change—from the Earth's atmosphere.

Laboratorio en Movimiento

This project was just too cool for us not to help out. Agnés Mérat and Miguel Gutiérez want to cross Latin America in a car with a diesel engine modified to use recycled vegetable oils. Watch the video to learn more about their mission (Spanish only).
